Anahit Arpen

Writer, script writer, editor 
Born in 1964, Aparan, Armenia. Studied merchandising in the Yerevan Co-operative collage (1980-83), learned as a theatrical director in A. Gamjyan's private lessons (1984-85), graduated as an organizer of the mass celebrations in Armenian pedagogical university after Kh. Abovyan (1985-89, F. Dovlatyan's studio). Worked in «Hayfilm» studio (1989-2006),

Works in National Cinema Centre of Armenia as a senior film editor (2006-2015), head of the editorial department (since 2015). Anahit Arpen is an author of the theatrical performances («No Exit» by Jean-Paul Sartre, «Compartment» by Anahit Arpen, «The Clown» by Mikayel Manvelyan, «Aregnazan» by Ghazaros Aghayan), documentary films («Still-life», 1992, «The Past to Today, 2010, «Ode to Leninakan», 2013), screenplays of the films («Chameleon», «The Birth of the Spirits», «Unflagging spirit») and books «Stories», 2004, «Endless Tale of the Toys» (stories and screenplays), 2008, «Armenian Cinema: 1924-2008» (co-author), 2009, «Anahit Source» (historical novel about Karabakh), 2015, «Hazards of Love» (love stories and novelettes), 2016).
